The Albergo Ristorante Gusana lies just a stone’s throw from Gavoi, a hamlet in the very centre of Sardinia, in the heart of the Barbagia di Ollolai., sitting at 700mt ASL.

It is a family run hotel overlooking the picturesque Gusana‘s Lake, which offers a number of outdoor activities, including fishing, kayak excursions, trekking opportunities, and a chance to visit ancient archeological sites (domus de janas, nuraghis and menhirs).  It is located in the “Barbagia di Ollolai”, one of the most authentic and untouched areas in the entire island.​ Since 1983 the hotel has been owned and managed by the Ladu‘s Family, who pride themselves to offer their guests high quality hospitality services in a comfortable family environment.

In its restaurant, guests can enjoy the authentic Barbagia cuisine as well as other Italian specialties. Many of the ingredients are directly sourced from the Ladu family’s organic farm. Our location is the ideal place to spend holidays in any season of the year: during summer the breezy climate allows a relaxing stay (though you can reach wonderful beaches in just one hour’s drive); during winter you can easily reach the Bruncuspina’s (Fonni) ski facilities, which is the only ski resort in Sardinia.
